SALARY:$79,205 - $87,125, depending on relevant experience
Responsibilities:
ØDirect and supervise the Internal Audit activities of the County
ØManage, oversee coordination and provide technical support to the external auditors for the Single Audit of all County funds.
ØRespond to and resolve audit findings by communicating and working with various forms of governments and governmental agencies.
ØManage, oversee coordination and provide technical support to the various governmental audits such as audits conducted by the Auditor General, HUD, etc.
ØRecruit qualified professionals to fill Internal Auditor positions
ØTrain and review performance of staff
ØSupervise and review Internal Auditors’ assignments
ØEnsure audits are conducted in accordance with appropriate auditing standards, account principles and County policies
ØSign off on final audit report
ØComply with federal and Commonwealth Single Audit requirements
ØTimely and accurate 1099 filings with the Internal Revenue Service
ØTimely and accurate Unclaimed Property reporting to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as required by law
ØAssist Controller and other functions of the Controller’s office as needed

ØFamiliar with Governmental Auditing Standards
ØBachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
Ø40 Hours/year including 12 hours in Governmental Continuing Professional Education
ØAttainment of CPA, CIA or equivalent certification
